Vintage Photo Wall Collage {Update}

A few months ago, I shared a post about a vintage photo wall collage that I created in our living room.

Since that time, I have gotten more into a groove of the direction that I want our living room to go, so I updated it a little and thought I would pop in here to share it with you.

People who come over always ask if these are family photos. No, they aren’t. 
It would be cool if they were, I’ll admit, but I got them in a bag at an antique store for $3. I do think some are local, though, which makes them even more interesting to me.
Despite not knowing the faces in these photos, I still find them intriguing. 
Wondering about their lives.
What stories and memories they would have to share about the moments captured here.
Many of these have dates and some have hand written notes on the back. 
They range from the 1930’s to the 1950’s.
The style of our living room is “rustic industrial”, so I changed out the pale purple and gold mirror for a more rustic gray one.
It also felt a little too busy with the previous layout, so I removed several photos and rearranged the ones seen here.
I don’t know about the rest of you, but I am getting very anxious for spring to come. 
I can’t wait to get out of the house and have fun exploring with the little ones.
I hope to have some great posts coming for you this spring!

    Your photo wall is so beautiful Alice!… I just adore all of those old black and whites… isn't is crazy that families discard those things… I never can believe how they can just toss away memories like that… and yes, I know those faces all have stories to tell… perhaps they will whisper them to you… I have an old Victoria magazine where a reader wrote in that she bought a basketful of really old handwritten postcards at a yard sale… after reading through them, names sounded familiar… turns out, they were from family members of hers in another state even from years before… so happy they "came full circle" and went to her… much love, xoxo Julie Marie
