Making Spirits Bright in the Playroom {with Holiday Wall Decals}

I received product from Wallternatives™ in exchange for this review. All expressed opinions are 100% my own. Full Disclosure Policy.

If you recently stopped by for my holiday home tour, I mentioned some new additions to the playroom that are bringing all of us some Christmas cheer. I love adding lots of whimsy to my children’s playroom, especially at Christmastime. When I happened upon the Boy Meets Girl Reindeer Removable Christmas Wall Decal Set available from Wallternatives™, I knew it would be the perfect touch. This set is from their new Jennifer Rizzo Designer Wall Decal Collection. You all know by now how much I love Jennifer Rizzo, right? Seriously, she is mega talented.
When I first saw this set on the website, I knew that my children had to have them. Okay, maybe I was a teensy bit excited for them myself. At Christmas time, I am still just a kid inside.

But, I have resisted (as best I can) arranging them myself, and just let the kids do it the way they want to. A little hard for a perfectionist, but I do love seeing the creative way my children’s minds work!

Both of my children (Hazel, 3 and Owen, 2) love to name everything they see after themselves whether it be characters from television shows, movies or books. If there is a boy and a girl in it, they will “find themselves” there. Which is why I knew that these wall decals would bring them so much happiness and hours of fun. And of course become, Hazel Reindeer and Owen Reindeer. Move over Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen……..
There are some new reindeer in town.

From the minute the package arrived (which was super speedy by the way), they were jumping up and down with excitement for the new “surprise.” When I pulled out the sheet of decals I was so impressed with the quality. I had been hesitant previously to get anything of the sort, since I worried they might rip easily or be poor quality. Not so with the the ones from Wallternatives™. My kids actually helped take them all off the large roll they were on and adhere them immediately to the wall. I was watching carefully to see how the pieces held up with their “less than gentleness” and to my relief, they stayed completely intact. Phew!

They have played with them, rearranged them, come up with crazy combinations for them, and the pieces are still just as good as new. They adhere smoothly to the wall and are so easily changed, that my three year old daughter can do it all by herself.

We will definitely be leaving these up long after Christmas, in fact, I see no reason to take them down! The artwork is exquisite, and I love how sweet they look in our home.

If you are looking to make some spirits bright this season, definitely check these out! There are also a TON of other awesome wall decals available from Wallternatives™. As I get more rooms in our house finished, I will definitely be looking to add more to our home.

Jennifer Rizzo also has a line of stencils available from Royal Design Studio that look like so much fun. You can definitely get your holiday diy on with those!

I will share more from the playroom decorated for Christmas as time allows. It is crazy how busy this time of year can be, but I am enjoying all of the magical moments with my two little ones. I love to see the wonder and excitement in their eyes!

I hope this magical season is treating you well. Don’t forget to sign up for the giveaway that I currently have going on if you haven’t done so already!

Till next time…
