Log Cabin Home Tour: Kitchen & Dining Room

As I mentioned last week, I have been preparing a full log cabin home tour from our recent stay in the Adirondacks. Today, I am so excited to get it started with the kitchen and dining room! If you missed the personal side of the trip, you can check that out here. I will have follow up posts with tours of the living room, master bedroom and more, in the coming weeks so stay tuned. For now, come on in and enjoy a virtual tour of this dreamy log home’s kitchen and dining room…

My mom was actually the one who found this rental cabin listed on vacationrentals.com. I have a thing for log cabins and was so excited when my mom showed me this one. The reviews were great and it looked amazing in the pictures. It was honestly even better in person!

You never know with these things. Sometimes they are built up so much and then a disappointment when you arrive, but not this place. It was pretty much perfect. And the price was very reasonable too for the size of it.

The main entrance, which was actually facing towards the back when we pulled in the long wooded drive, had a stately portico. The front door opened to a small entry area with a spot for coats and shoes.
Once inside, the living room was directly off to the left and the kitchen to the right which extended into the dining room.

I was so excited when I walked into the kitchen and saw the mixture of rustic and modern. It had beautiful countertops and cabinets with soft close drawers. I loved all the light fixtures, stainless steel appliances, deep sink, with beautiful views of nature at every turn. It was definitely a dream kitchen!

We made ourselves right at home as soon we got there, and my mom made us all dinner. The kids had fun exploring and playing with the massive toy collection already there.
The kitchen and dining room were open to each other. The dining room was traditional in style with a coziness where you knew you could sit at the table for hours chatting and laughing and enjoying good meals with family and friends.
The simple, modern see through fireplace was stunning. I would love to have one of those some day!
In the next tour post, I will take you around the fireplace and into the living room as well as the beautiful porch!
Till next time…
