Gray & Pink Living Room

I have partnered with Unique Rug Store for this post. All expressed opinions are 100% my own. Full disclosure.

It’s been so long since I have shared a decorating post with all of you! Life is crazy busy right now with three kids under five and getting our house on the market! Looking for a new place to call home is exhausting but hopefully we will find something really soon.

This post is long overdue as I received this beautiful new rug from Unique Rug Store way back in October. I completely fell in love with the muted colors and beautiful pattern. I knew I wanted it for my future living room. Granted, I was thinking ahead to my next living room, in our next home, but I couldn’t help but put it in this space for the time being. It is VERY large, so it takes up almost the whole space, but I love how it brings warmth and interest to the room, without being overwhelming.

It coordinates perfectly with our gray sectional and my kilim pillows. Muted shades of pale pink have always been a favorite of mine, so I was pretty thrilled when my husband gave me the “okay” with this design choice. It was really a difficult decision because the Unique Rug Store has so many amazing options. I loved about a dozen of them! You definitely have to check them out especially if you love kilim and vintage inspired rugs.

If you missed my last post, I mentioned we were putting this house on the market. It’s a bittersweet time for us. This is our first home that we purchased, where we brought each of our children home to and where we made so many special memories. I am definitely going to miss it. That’s one great thing about being an interior blogger…I have TONS of photos of this place to look back and remember it by. Like this sweet shot of Violet…can you believe she is already six months old? How fast the time goes by.

Till next time…
