Favorites from Hearth and Hand

Have you checked out the new Hearth and Hand with Magnolia line at Target? Last month, while Christmas shopping alone (a mom’s dream), I happened upon it and was instantly smitten. I love that it’s simple, yet modern and has some eclectic elements in it.

My birthday was on December 15th, and one of my gifts from my husband, was the Hearth and Hand Galvanized Metal and Wood Shelving Set. We hung it up a couple of weeks ago in the dining room. It’s one of the first things we decided to make permanent in our new home! If you have been following our journey, you may know how hesitant I have been to hang anything on the walls yet. I don’t know why really, but once we put these up, it got me motivated to do more. It really made the room start to come alive.
I kept them fairly simple with just a candle and faux succulent plant (also from Target), some vintage art books and handmade ceramic pieces. I know I will change these shelves out often, but for now, I am enjoying the simplicity.

I am so glad I finally got the courage to make a decision on hanging something on the walls. It feels like a great start and I know each time, it will feel more and more like home.
