DIY Hand Drawn Valentine’s Notes

Over the weekend, I showed the Valentine’s vignette I set up on our vintage buffet in the dining room. One of the elements of the vignette, were some simple hand drawn Valentine notes that I made. I had a lot of fun making these and wanted to share them with you today!

I started by purchasing some red and pink paper doilies from the Dollar Tree. I didn’t have a set plan for them at the time, but knew they would come in handy for some last minute Valentine’s decorating.

I love skinny font styles (similar to Rae Dunn pottery even though I don’t own any), so I used that as my inspiration for writing romantic phrases on several of these hearts. I looked at this font for reference as I was writing each phrase. Then added some arrows, hearts and other romantic images. On one I wrote Je t’aime, drew a small Eiffel tower and some fireworks.

If you want to get creative and make some of these yourself all you need is:

Red Heart Doilies
Pink Heart Doilies
Ultra Fine Point Black Sharpie Marker

and love. (haha I had to!)

When I was finished, I simply taped them up around our Love You More wooden sign. Did you see the full vignette? You can see all the details in that post if you missed it!

I hope you enjoyed this post…and as always…thanks for stopping by!

Till next time…
