DIY Modern Dollhouse Potted Plants
Hey Friends! I am here with my first miniature post since moving my blog to WordPress and my new web url alicewingerden.com! As I mentioned in my last post, I plan on sharing a lot more posts about dollhouses and miniatures.
This post contains affiliate links. I may receive a small commission for any sales made through them.
I will still share my own home décor posts and craft projects, but right now with three kids under the age of 7, the house is not often in a “photo worthy state.” And rather than spending my time feeling bad about this and beating myself up for not being able to keep it orderly and “picture perfect”, I am going to work on projects that make me happy and right now that is all things miniature!
I love to find things at thrift stores and random items around the house to turn into eclectic dollhouse decor. Today, I am sharing how I made a couple of matching modern dollhouse potted plants with thrift store finds.
To begin, I found some fake flowers at a craft thrift store in our are for really cheap. I specifically went looking for ones that had good foliage/plants that could be removed easily and would look cute in the dollhouse. I forgot to take a pic of them before but you can see examples of what I was looking for here and here.
I found wooden craft cylinders on the same shopping trip but had no plans for them at the time. I just knew they would eventually be good for something!
This project is so simple once you have your supplies. I began by gluing a few of the green stems in the wooden pots.
I took some dried moss and filled in around the plant once the glue had dried. I gently dabbed the moss with glue and then pressed it around and into the pot.
I love how they turned out and they fit right in to our eclectic boho dollhouse living room.
I hope you enjoyed this post! Have a great week 🙂
Till next time…
