• Fletcher Reeve

Our little baby boy, Fletcher Reeve, was born on October 14th! He is our fourth baby who came after a heartbreaking miscarriage, and has been pure joy for us since he arrived. Okay, okay…not every moment has been pure joy…but most of them have 🙂 He was born an hour and forty minutes after my water broke at 2:30 am. I actually woke up from a dream that I was being attacked (scary!) and heard a loud pop and then felt the gush. Immediately, I felt the first painful contraction. I knew we had to get to the hospital fast. My biggest fear was that he came in the car…

  • House Small: Boho Dollhouse Shop

Exciting news: I have opened a new Etsy shop, called House Small, devoted to my love for boho dollhouse decor and eclectic miniatures! Okay, so here is how it all started… Have I mentioned, I have a *slight* obsession with dollhouses and miniatures? Okay, maybe a time or two… It has been a lifelong interest, but the passion was sparked again. a few years ago, when my husband brought home a handmade dollhouse from a garage sale. (Read about our fixer upper dollhouse and see before photos!) It needed a lot of love, which inspired me to give it a complete makeover. This dollhouse is still a work in progress…

Well, I have definitely been starting to have all the fall feels and can’t wait to decorate for my…

  • Getting Back to Art & Creating

First, I want to give a heartfelt thank you to everyone who came, read, commented and shared your personal stories with me on my last post about my miscarriage. There is tremendous healing in reading the kind and encouraging words of others. Both by those who have been there and those who offer their support and sympathy. When the depression had finally lifted, I continued to talk with my counselor and told her how I still felt lost as to who I was and what I wanted to do with my life. I’ve been a stay at home mom with side businesses (my blog, Etsy shop, etc.) for several years,…

    Six Week Miscarriage Ultrasound

Wow. Where does the time go? It has been so long since I logged into this blog, that I actually forgot how to! It took me a bit of google searching to remember, but I finally figured it out and I’m back! Something happened in November of last year, that sent me into a downward spiral for quite some time, and then when life got better, I couldn’t find the words or the courage to share it here. I have wanted to share it, or rather, felt I needed to share it, before I could get back to routine blog posts. I just couldn’t bring myself to do it until…

    Eclectic Thanksgiving Dining Room Decor

November is flying by, isn’t it? With Thanksgiving just around the corner, I finally got all of the Halloween and birthday party decorations down in time to do a little decorating. I am not hosting dinner this year (thank goodness!), but I always like to decorate for Thanksgiving anyway. I kept things fairly simple again this year with a vintage, eclectic vibe. Like I’ve mentioned in previous posts, we plan on painting the dining room a dark color once we get all of the wallpaper removed (it was painted over by the previous owner so it will take a while!). Right now I am debating between black or a dark…
