Holiday Home Tour 2013 | Part One | Rustic Christmas Porch
Welcome to my Christmas Home Tour 2013!
Today, I will share a tour of our rustic Christmas porch!
This year, I decided to join Jennifer Rizzo’s inspiring “Holiday Housewalk Linky Party” where you can see lots of lovely homes.
I will be sharing the outside of my home in this specific post, but in the next week, will get to photographing the inside. It is very festive in here, but with two little ones, I need to do some major cleaning before I can photograph it! All of you moms can understand how that goes, right? The tree has already been decorated, and redecorated several times by those little hands…
But, I invite you now, onto our “rustic Christmas” porch…
I have had these old ice skates for a few years. Picked them up at church sale for about a buck. I love the little pom poms on them. The sled is new this year. Someone at my husband’s work gave it to him, and I love it. I have always wanted a vintage sled to decorate outdoors with for the holidays.
I always use all of the extra boughs that my husband cuts off of our tree…this year both inside and out…
People often ask about my “welcome” sign…I actually purchased it online from a cheap wholesale site several years ago (but I can’t recall now which one!).
My husband added lights all around the porch and our door (not photographed), which makes it so charming at night.
Here is a picture of it taken at night (without the greenery and lights he added around the door frame!)
I do hope that you will come back for a tour inside! Here is a little peek…
Till next time…

Hi Alice,
Everything looks so lovely! I just love the weathered, worn, rustic look…you have created a very warm and inviting entryway for friends and family to pass through!! Thank you for sharing! Looking forward to the inside tour!
Hope you day is filled with little joys!
