• Still Seeking Beauty

Dear Reader, who has stumbled upon my little corner of the world (perhaps for the first time in a long while or for the first time ever), I thank you. Thank you for being here. For caring to pop in at this exact moment. I am humbled that fellow kindred spirits still come here to this place that houses my words, my photographs, my imperfectly creative life. Life continues to move on even as blogs get left in the dust. I have so much I could share. So much I would love to have time to pour out here. I wish you could sit across from me right now as…

  • Springtime in Quarantine

How are you holding up? This is such a surreal time in our lives, but I hope you are adjusting to your new normal whatever that may be. At our house, we are all currently in a seven day quarantine because poor little Fletcher developed a cough over Easter weekend. He seems to be doing okay, no fever or breathing difficulties. Just a rough cough that has made a few nights less than ideal. Having all four kids at home and trying to manage schoolwork for the older ones (plus their google meets and zoom sessions) while tending to the little ones has been my biggest challenge. I know others…

    Six Week Miscarriage Ultrasound

Wow. Where does the time go? It has been so long since I logged into this blog, that I actually forgot how to! It took me a bit of google searching to remember, but I finally figured it out and I’m back! Something happened in November of last year, that sent me into a downward spiral for quite some time, and then when life got better, I couldn’t find the words or the courage to share it here. I have wanted to share it, or rather, felt I needed to share it, before I could get back to routine blog posts. I just couldn’t bring myself to do it until…

  • Happy Easter!

In honor of Easter, our Sundays at Home link party will be postponed until next week. I hope that you are all enjoying a beautiful weekend with your loved ones! The weather is still cool here and it might even be a white Easter 🙁 but I hope it is sunny and warm wherever you are. (This photo was taken a few years ago and gives me hope for spring’s return). Even though this season of life has been sad, dealing with three deaths in my extended family, I know that the Lord is faithful. I am grateful that his love and promises are unfailing. I know that I can…

  • Sticks and Stones: Dealing with the Ugly Side of Social Media as a Blogger and Person of Faith

If you are a blogger, designer, or creative type who puts yourself out there on the internet, you may have had a negative run in or two (or three, or four…) on social media. Most of us have. It is “to be expected.” Normal. Happens all the time. Something to “get over.” But what if you can’t? What if the hurtful words cut deep? How can we manage to keep our self-worth and value in tact while subjecting ourselves to the possibility of rudeness and ridicule? A painful Facebook experience that happened to me a couple of weeks ago, left me contemplating this blog and what I am doing here.…

  • Be You {because you are better at it than anyone else} & a Free Printable!

There is nothing so important in this life than remembering that being you is better than anything else you can be. And nobody else can do it. You are the one and only. It is easy to get caught up in comparison or following the crowds, but our true beauty and loveliness comes from our authenticity. So today I say, be you. Enjoy yourself. Love yourself. With all of your quirks and imperfections, talents and faults, the good and the bad. Accept yourself for who you are and remember that you are an amazing child of God. And I will try to do the same, okay? 🙂  I am offering the first…
