Media Cabinet Halloween Village Display

Halloween is almost here! Which sadly means October is almost over. It always seems to go by so quickly. My kids are definitely feeling the excitement in the air and can’t wait for trick or treating. I know it’s super last minute, but today, I wanted to share the little “halloween village” I set up on our living room media cabinet for my kids. If you are a regular here, you know we love our holiday villages over here.

The media cabinet is still one of my avorite furniture pieces that I received a few years back when I did a collaboration with Raymour & Flanigan. You can read about that here. I normally keep the decor pretty simple on it, but this year, I couldn’t help myself and wanted to make it fun, especially for my younger two. They love all the little houses and miniatures and lights!

It’s honestly just a mish mash of things collected over the years. My diy crepe paper trees have held up so-so, along with the random collection of houses. They have taken some wear and tear from little hands over the years.

Orange and Black Halloween Village House

I was a little lazy this year with the houses (didn’t put in the work to make them each light up), and instead put a strand of candy corn lights in the background with some branches of preserved oak leaves over top. Super easy and still gives the cozy, fall, Halloween vibe I was going for.

The figures and miniature pieces were mostly thrifted finds or gifts from my mother for the kids. We have a few different kinds of trees and scattered faux leaves around the front mixed with crushed dried leaves.

The Man in the Moon makes his appearance every year! He was downloaded from The Graphics Fairy.

Still working out what each of the kids will be for Halloween. Hopefully we will get that nailed down soon and then the only thing left to do will be to carve some pumpkins (and attempt to not eat all the Kit Kats I already bought for trick-or-treaters πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈit’s just so hard to resist!)

Hope you are enjoying a lovely end of October! Don’t forget to stop by my Etsy shop where I am currently running a shopwide sale through the 31st. Save 25% on two or more items! I hope to be back sharing more decorating and diy projects and have been active again on Instagram! Feels good getting back into a “normal” routine doing what I love sharing my home and creative ideas with all of you 😊

Till next time…
