Styling a Bed with Kilim Pillows

I have partnered with Kilim Pillow Store for this post. All expressed opinions are 100% my own. Full disclosure.

I can never stop tweaking my decor. I love to change things up. And I have a *slight* obsession with throw pillows. Seriously…I have a closet full of pillow covers and inserts. It might be a little out of control…
Today, I am showing how easily I change out the vibe of our minimalist white bedroom with some textural throw pillows…whenever the mood strikes.

Our bedroom is mainly white on white with texture brought in through the chenille bedspread, honeycomb patterned lamps and nailhead trimmed headboard. On the opposite side, we have a vintage wooden dresser and our new wicker baby bassinet. I am a sucker for texture! I am also a sucker for rich pops of color against white.
When I came across the kilim pillows availabe from Kilim Pillow Store, I was immediately smitten and couldn’t help but change out a few in our bedroom. I spotted two out of my normal color comfort zone and decided to add them to my stash (similar here). Paired with my Mohave kilim pillow they are a match made in heaven. I am loving this look!

I love their playful colors and patterns and how they coordinate together. They will probably turn into my “spring” throw pillows when I am wanting to add a splash of color to our space, but not in the “traditional” spring repertoire.

For autumn, I often fall for muted tones like pale pink, brown, gray, mustard yellow…my comfort zone. I currently have these three pillows on my bed on a regular basis (well…whenever I make it that is, which is sadly not every day). They are actually all from the same cutting, and I love how the patterns and colors blend together, yet each has its own unique look.

The colors are warm and inviting and perfect for adding a bit of fall flavor to our bedroom without being overtly obvious. I love decorating for fall, but I prefer my bedroom to remain subdued and minimalist regardless of the season. I want it to be peaceful and tranquil.
To me, kilim pillows are perfect for styling a bohemian bedroom and are my go to throw pillow style for my own space. While my family doesn’t appreciate them styling up a sofa or living room chair (“These pillows are too scratchy!” I hear from my kids over and over), nobody minds them being displayed on my made up bed!
Kilim Pillow Store is now my favorite source for unique throw pillows…the prices are so reasonable and I love the variety they have to offer. And that you can click to find pillows cut from the same rug/fabric! Brilliant.
Pillows aren’t the only things that I have tweaked in this space in the past month. We recently put up new curtains and I found an adorable boho bassinet on Craigslist. Check those posts out if you missed them!
I redid my jewelry area a little as well (previously shared here)….

In about a week or so, though, this will all be cleared out to turn the top of my dresser into Baby Girl’s changing area. It will be essential for all of those late night diaper changes that are coming my way 🙂 I am 37 1/2 weeks along right now! She could come at anytime…and we can’t wait…

Till next time…
