Little Man

Can you believe my youngest is already 20 months old? Life seems to have gone by in a whirlwind since he was born. So much has changed in such a short period of time. The whole world shut down when he was six months old and he has only known seeing people in masks when out in public until recently.

I can still remember so vividly how I felt when I found out I was pregnant after the miscarriage I had. I was so nervous for this little man to enter the world. Unsure if he ever really would after such a devastating loss. And now, he’s one of the greatest joys of my life! God always has a bigger plan than we can see when we are in the thick of it.

Fletcher is curious, inquisitive, sensitive at times, definitely a mama’s boy, a climber, a man of few actual words but babbler all day long. He waves to dogs and birds and chipmunks and caterpillars. He waves at men working in our neighborhood and anyone leaving their driveway. He loves cars and trucks and saying “voom voom” when they go by. He loves to sit in my lap while I read Little Blue Truck and Goodnight Moon. He loves to explore and get into EVERYTHING (and I mean everything…the garbage…the toilets…Vaseline…nail polish…you name it and he’s gotten into it). He keeps me on my toes that’s for sure. He gives the sweetest hugs and kisses. I feel so loved when he wraps his little arms around me. He is truly a blessing that I didn’t deserve and I am so proud and happy to be his mama.

I am grateful every day for the wonderful gift this sweet boy is and how he has completed our family in such a beautiful way. I hope he always keeps his inquisitive, sensitive, mama loving spirit no matter where life leads him. And I hope he always feels as loved as I do by him. God’s timing is perfect even when we don’t understand what he is doing in our lives. I am so grateful that God sent me this amazing child and has blessed my life so immensely. Now, I can’t imagine it any other way 🙂

Till next time…be blessed!
