Getting Back to Etsy & Creating

Wow, the month of November seems to be slipping right through my hands. I think this month always seems to go this way, which is a bit sad since this is my favorite time of year. It’s that cozy time before it gets too too cold, the leaves still have some color and are covering everything, and the holiday spirit is sprinkling in before the big “rush” to shop for Christmas. But, this season, I decided to change things up for myself and started spending time getting back to creating and listing items in my Etsy shop. And I have some exciting news about a new Etsy shop that I recently decided to open!

Way back in 2009, I had the pleasure of being the Featured Seller on Etsy. It was a big deal back then and brought lots of traffic to my shop. I don’t even know if they have this feature anymore, since Etsy has changed SO much since then, but I still remember how well I did that November in my shop. It was my first year offering rag ball Christmas ornaments and they became my most popular item for the next several years. Then fast forward four kids later, and I gave up on finding time to make these even though I continued to get requests year after year.

But this year I made the time! And it was fun showing my kids what I used to do to make money before they could remember. I have several different styles available this season so be sure to check them all out in my Rag Ball Ornament collection.

You will find rustic monochromatic sets, French farmhouse style ticking, faux fur, neutral beige, pale pink, and more!

These Golden Roses ornaments are my personal favorites. I used vintage fabric in my favorite shade of mustard yellow.

These natural beige ones seem to be popular this year!

I have also added new collage art.

And a few original pieces including this collage on antique cabinet card. I created many collage pieces during the previous year coming out of a deep depression, so they all have a personal meaning that I hope can be relatable to others.

And the exciting news! I just opened a new Etsy shop called Cut & Collage Co. It has been a really long time since I have offered digital graphics and collage sheets for sale, but recently, I started realizing how much I wanted to do this again. Especially with the popularity of junk journaling and collage art that I personally love. I have a HUGE collection of vintage ephemera, books, photographs, etc, so I have been spending a lot of time scanning and preparing these images for use by others in the form of collage sheets or downloadable kits.

You can find links to all of the images above in my shops! I hope you will stop by to see what’s new! I plan to add a lot more to my new digital graphics shop as the months go on and sharing freebies here on my blog! I have been listing more vintage items to my main shop and have lots more to come in the near future!

For those celebrating Thanksgiving this week, I hope you have a blessed holiday and peaceful time with family and friends.

Till next time…
