‘Innocence is Never Lost’

An original mixed media collage created by Alice Wingerden in 2021 on a piece of vintage book end paper. Materials used include tattered book cover pieces and a translucent, aged and stained paper from an antique bible, gel medium, vintage and antique book pages, a found magazine clipping of a young girl and her dog, vintage buttons and scrap of vintage fabric. The colors are primarily cream, brown and black.

Measures approximately 8 1/2” by 12”.

Titled, signed and dated on the back.

This piece has 3-dimensional objects attached, so it can be displayed in a shadow box frame, a frame without glass or simply as is.

This piece is part of a series of mixed media art exploring pain, loss and healing through the unification of discarded and abandoned objects, abstract themes and concepts, and vintage ephemera. Other works are available in my shop.
