Log Cabin Home Tour: Master Bedroom

Last summer, my family and I stayed at a gorgeous log cabin in the Adirondacks. I have previously shared tours of the kitchen and living room, as well as a post about our trip in general. Today, I am finally getting around to sharing the room that we stayed in…the top level master bedroom.

The entire home was impressive, but when I walked into this bedroom with vaulted ceilings, a reading nook and its own fireplace I was floored. It was a stunner…let me tell you. I could definitely imagine doing it up in my own eclectic bohemian style! What fun that would be. But here is a little tour of how it looked when we got to enjoy a weekend away here.

The bed itself was definitely a sight. Very tall headboard and made of rustic wood with woven panels.

I actually really loved the simplicity of the decor in this home. Something I have been craving in my own, but when you are surrounded by your own things all the time and have a hard time letting go, it’s hard to see where you could do away with things to make room for negative space. I am learning…and trying to take note whenever I enjoy it in spaces like this.

Since it was summer when we visited, there wasn’t an opportunity to get a crackling fire going…but I could definitely imagine the cozy and romantic ambience it would add to this room.

There were books in every room of the cabin. Stacks and stacks and stacks. If you ever got stuck here you would never run out of reading material.

I had planned on this being the last tour post of the cabin, but I took quite a few photos of the master bath and a small nursery and play area that I will share soon. I hope you enjoyed the tour! I really love log cabins and thoroughly enjoyed getting to stay in this one if only for a weekend!
