  • Vintage Thread Ball Egg Basket {Easy DIY}

    Is spring ever going to come? I sure hope so! There is still a little bit of snow on the ground here, but spring is on my mind. I have a super easy DIY tutorial to get you in the mood for spring as well. A few years back I made and sold these vintage thread ball egg baskets, and today I am going to share how. The supplies include the following (supply links at the bottom of this post): vintage thread balls (check local thrift stores or Etsy or eBay) natural wood excelsior and/or sheet moss faux speckled eggs (I purchased mine at HomeGoods a couple of years ago…

  • Vignette Details from the Living Room

    Earlier this week, I shared our living room and entryway area reveals on my blog. Here are a few extra shots from some of my vignettes and details from the room. This old scale is the first one I ever purchased and is still my favorite. Since then I have acquired quite a collection. The cast iron rabbit was a gift from my mother, and when I don’t have it out for spring decor, it’s displayed in the kids’ room. The enamel pitcher is new (vintage inspired). At some point I want to purchase an old white enamel pitcher, but until then this works. The clock face, I literally took out…

You walk straight into the living room with only one teensy, tiny wall to the left to be considered the “entryway area”. Here…

  • Spring 2014 {Partial} Living Room Reveal

    As promised, I am sharing my living room reveal!  You will notice in the title this is only a “partial” reveal. I still have some work to do on our gallery wall with the flat screen and will reveal that as soon as it is done. There are also many things in this room that I hope to do in the future, but I decided I won’t hold out any longer on sharing a room tour.  So here we go! I was actually able to get this room cleaned up and photographed while both kids napped (a miracle!). I will try to explain the pieces in here and what we…
