Bonne Fête des Mères
Mothers are beautiful and life would never be so sweet without them. I know mine wouldn’t. I love spending time with my mother. Her presence alone is comforting and feels like home. How will you celebrate your mother today? Perhaps a tea or brunch….a card in the mail…a bouquet of flowers {or if you’re me….a potted hydrangea plant in a deep shade of pink…her favorite color}… Or, if your mother is no longer with you…reflections on her life and how she touched yours… Above is my favorite photograph of my beautiful mother and me. Spring Beauty…
I hope that you all had a wonderful Easter holiday! Thank you to all of you who came and left lovely thoughts and greetings for me. I have not had a chance to make the rounds and get caught up with all of my blogging friends since returning from Virginia…but I am going to work on that this week. With the approach of Easter, I have been whipping up lots of delicious treats in honor of the holiday and spring season and thought I would share them with you, before Joshua and I head down to Virginia to spend the holiday with his family. Nesting…
First of all…I must say thank you…a heartfelt thank you…to all of you who left such encouraging and uplifting comments on my last post. And thank you to all of the wonderful women who emailed me to tell me you feel the same…and for reminding me that I am not alone! I hope that by sharing my experiences it can help remind us all that we are all in this together…it’s not a race or a contest…we each have gifts and abilities…and should remember when visiting others that it in no way diminishes our creativity or ideas…or means that “everyone else has it all together”…we are all in the same…
