• We Sold Our House!

So, we actually did it. We sold our home! After living in this two bedroom, humble colonial for seven years, we took the plunge and put it on the market. Surprisingly, it sold within the first weekend, to the first showing and above list price. More about that coming soon including how I staged it myself on the cheap. The decision to sell has been in the works for years. It probably started around the time Owen was a toddler. The two bedroom thing was starting to become an issue. Eventually we made it work by switching out the master to make it the kids’ shared bedroom. And then Violet…

  • Copper + Gold Boho Thanksgiving Table Ideas

This post contains affiliate links. I may receive a small commission for any sales made through them. Full disclosure. Thanksgiving is coming fast! Even though we are expecting our third baby any time now, there is still a chance we might host Thanksgiving dinner here. It would be potluck and my husband would cook the turkey, so that I can simply focus on our new baby…and making the house pretty for our guests.  The creativity involved with that actually excites me no matter what is going on. I’m planning now how I want to do up the table should we decide to have our family here. This is what I…

  • Fall Home Tour 2016

Welcome to my fall home tour for 2016! This is by far one of my favorite posts every year. The textures, colors and “feelings of fall” go hand in hand with my personal style. Today, I am excited to be joining Lindsay of The White Buffalo Styling Co. and her ‘Blogger Stylin’ Home Tours’! It is a privilege to join these talented women. Today’s first tour was Bliss at Home, so make sure you head over to visit her if you missed it! And be sure to visit the rest of the participants at the end of this post. You won’t be disappointed. So come on in to get a sneak peek! We will start on the front porch, which has been recently updated with…

  • Eclectic Spring Dining Room & Mantel

Spring is here! And it has gotten me in the mood to declutter and freshen up my home. Today, I’m sharing our simple dining room with subtle hints to welcome the season. As I’ve mentioned other times, my dining room is the worst for collecting clutter. This room leads to the kitchen, basement and back patio so things are always piling up. I finally cleared it all out last week (for the millionth time), cleaned it up and did a little tweaking. I bought a new Hmong hemp runner on Etsy recently and love it in here. Very inexpensive too! I’ve never been that into the color blue in my decor, but lately it’s…

  • Favorite Second Hand Finds

Those of you who know me and have followed me for awhile, know that I love getting the majority of my accessories and home decor second hand. I am an avid thrift store shopper and hit up flea markets and yard sales the minute the weather gets nice. Church sales are actually my favorite places to shop because they often have the lowest prices, great hidden treasures…and sweet church volunteers who are happy to see you find good stuff! I occasionally shop on Craigslist as well and have scored some of my most loved pieces that way. Here are some of my favorites along with the details of how I…
