Top Ten Posts of 2013 & a Free New Year’s Printable!
It is so hard for me to believe that 2014 will be here in a couple of days! This past year seems to have flown by. Guess that is what happens when you are busy caring for two under two, which is what I did for half of 2013…and then a 2 year old and one year old for the second half. time for a change…
Several years ago when I decided to make the move from Blogger to Typepad it really felt right. I couldn't share my photos easily or in the size that I wanted. I had lots and lots of issues with Blogger. I begrudgingly paid the $14.95 a month thinking it was worth it to have the capabilities that Typepad offered. Not so much anymore… With two little kiddos (who might be small but cost a lot!), I am trying to scrimp and save everywhere I can. Thankfully Blogger has improved a lot in the years I have been gone. Red Cottage Wares Antique Shop
At the end of our street there is a charming antique shop called "Red Cottage Wares" that Josh and I frequent often. It is one of my favorite things about living on this road. It looks small from the outside but holds tons of lovely treasures inside. On Saturday our town of Mumford had a huge 125th anniversary parade for the Mumford Fire Department. We took Hazel down to see it, but because it was so hot and because she didn't seem too interested, we walked across the road to check out the lawn sale the shop was having. For years, I have dreamed of one day being featured in the highly coveted annual feature in Romantic Homes of women who inspire… this being of course, The Romantics… Never actually thinking it would happen, you can imagine my surprise and delight when I was approached by them a few months back about being included in this February's issue. Last weekend, Joshua wanted to visit an architectural and salvage shop in the city to see if we could find some specific pieces for our new home. I was of course thrilled!
