Dwindling Summer Days…

Delicateflowers

The summer days seem to be slipping by so quickly…

It gives me a twinge of sadness…while joy rushes in with thoughts of fall…my absolute favorite time of year

I will miss the flowers though…

Summer Flowers

Pink Summer Rose

and the warm days spent lounging here…

The Pool

Perhaps I sound a bit hasty saying goodbye to summer so soon…but spending so much time planning for and preparing the shop for the fall {and even winter} collections has pushed my thoughts forward a bit…

and kept me very, very busy…

I will be posting more studio pics as time allows…{I haven’t forgotten ;)} and will be returning emails to those of you who have taken time to write, share your thoughts and ask questions of me…forgive my slowness in getting to those…

A Country Mile

Hope that you all enjoy the summer sun while it lasts…I know I will be trying to 😉

Till next time…

    Well Alice,
You certainly have a very lovely place to lounge, I can see why you want summer to last!
Autumn is my favorite too, I can’t wait for the cooler temps and all the goodness associated with the Fall of the year…

Yes my dear, get out there and enjoy every moment of what we have left! Even though fall is a beautiful time of year, we waited so long for this summer to come……. take time to relax and rewind…

Sometimes I think that August was put into the calandar to make us long for fall. It is so hot right and humid here now. I am like you loving fall. But Feb in Florida…ahhhhh heaven.

Ah…the fleeting days of summer…you have captured it so well Alice. I knew this time would be here in the blink of an eye. I love autumn too, but am not ready at all for winter.

    Dear sweet Alice,
Such a lovely post, as always. I love reading your thoughts and viewing your gorgeous photos! Fall is my favorite time of year, as well. You have such a lovely place to lounge. I love the soft pink rose and I am hoping my will bloom again in the fall when the heat and humidity have gone! The field is beautiful, serene and peaceful looking. I look forward to seeing your new collections for your shop, and more photos of your studio, when time allows. Take your time, dear one, and enjoy the rest of summer. Thank you for all the beauty you share!
    Much love,
    Paula
P.S. I love the photo of you with holding the umbrella, it is so charming and you are so beautiful dear friend!

Hello Alice… such a pretty post, as always… I am so looking forward to Autumn, my very favorite time of year… I just do not like the harsh winters we have here that follow… I adore Indian Summer that lasts clear into November (sometimes we have that) What is sweet little Renoir’s favorite time of year? Doggie kisses Renoir!

    Hi Alice,
Your pictures are a breath of fresh air today. I love summer too much to let it go. In my part of Idaho, I am blessed to have warm days and cool nights. The temps don’t go too high usually because we are at 5000 ft. I do love the fall too.
It was so good to get your sweet comment about our daughter and little trip. Someday I would like to share her voice on my blog.
Enjoy these days near that beautiful pool.
    Hugs,
    June

Ahhhhhhhh, don’t remind me! I’m a schoolteacher so back to school I go here in a week and a half….:) Oh but I love fall too, very excited to get out the sweaters and boots!

I’m with you… it’s slipping by so fast. I really wish I had such a place to lounge (and not a view of the boat 😉 but then, I would get less done than I do now! Autumn is the most beautiful time of the year to me and I’m waiting for those crisp, cool days and long walks. Beautiful photos of the fading flowers. Have a very lovely Summer day.

Hi Alice! We’re all a little slow to say goodbye to summer. My daughter has 2 more weeks before school starts, so we’re trying to enjoy the last of our lazy days!

I am anxiously waiting for fall too! My very favorite time of the year. Crisp cool mornings, crunching leaves under foot and the tastes of fall – apple cider and pumpkin bread. Enjoy your last days of summer!

    Hello
Thank you for stopping by on White Wednesday! I know what you mean about summer but haven’t gotten my fill yet even though I love fall. Love the pool!
    Blessings

Although Summer is nice, I much prefer Autumn. I am looking forward to clear, crisp days full of rich colors.
Here in New England, we feel cheated this year. We’ve had so much rain and not much heat so it hardly feels like summer.
    Hoping for a brilliant Autumn!
